A MEFA AI signal is a fleeting, high-value piece of intelligence. Its value decays with every minute that passes. Receiving these signals instantly and reliably is not a convenience; it is a mission-critical requirement. Failure to configure your notifications correctly is an act of professional negligence.
The Three-Point Pre-Flight Check
To ensure your lifeline is active, you must complete a three-point check. All three conditions must be met.
1. Protocol Alpha: Wallet Connection is Authenticated
The Principle: Your wallet is your unique key to our system. It is your identity. The notification system must know who you are to know where to send the intelligence. An active, authenticated wallet connection is the foundational layer upon which everything else is built.
The Action: Ensure your wallet is connected and the platform recognizes your access tier (Starter, Pro, Prime). If your wallet is disconnected, the communication line is severed.
2. Protocol Bravo: The Bell Icon is Engaged
The Principle: The notification bell icon in your MEFAI dashboard is not a simple setting. It is your explicit command to the system, telling it: "I am on duty. I am ready to receive real-time alerts." If it is not selected, you are telling the system that you are "offline" and do not wish to be disturbed.
The Action: You must verify that the bell icon is selected and active. This is you, the operator, formally requesting the flow of intelligence.
3. Protocol Charlie: The 'Notify' Toggle is Armed
The Principle: The "Notify" toggle within your settings is the final "armed" state for the system. It is the master switch that activates the push notification functionality to your registered devices (desktop browser or PWA).
The Action: Ensure this toggle is enabled. This confirms your readiness and opens the pipeline for the delivery of time-sensitive alerts.
Failure to complete this simple, three-point check is the most common reason for missed opportunities. Do not let an operational oversight be the reason you miss an A+ trade.

New "Notification Settings" Panel
A comprehensive "Notification Settings" panel is now available, granting Pro and Prime users granular control over the push notifications they receive. This allows for a more personalized and relevant alert experience.
Here is a breakdown of the available settings:
Signal Notifications: Activate this toggle to receive alerts for new trading signals. When a signal notification is received and clicked, it will now direct you to the main trading panel (https://mefai.io/panel).
All News Notifications: Enable this to get alerts for every news article gathered from all 12 sources, such as Cointelegraph, CoinDesk, and The Block. Clicking a news notification will take you to the dedicated News page (https://mefai.io/news).
Filtered News Notifications: If you prefer not to receive all news, you can use this option to get alerts only for articles containing specific keywords that you define.
You can set up to three custom keywords (e.g., "mefai", "btc", "mint").
The system will send a notification if the title or summary of a news article contains any of your specified keywords.
Note: If "All News Notifications" is enabled, the "Filtered News Notifications" option will be disabled to avoid redundant alerts.
Saving Settings: After configuring your preferences, click the "Close & Save" button. Your settings are automatically saved to the server, and a "Settings Saved!" confirmation will appear briefly on the screen.
The system ensures that these preferences are tied to your wallet address and are fetched when you connect, providing a consistent experience across devices.
Corrected Decimal Display for Asset Prices
The issue regarding the incorrect number of decimal places for asset prices has been resolved. The platform now displays prices, Take-Profit (TP), and Stop-Loss (SL) values with the precise number of decimals appropriate for each specific asset.
This fix is implemented throughout the user interface, ensuring that values in the main signals table and the mobile view are formatted correctly.
The correction also extends to push notifications. When you receive a signal alert, the price included in the notification body will now be formatted with the proper decimal precision.
Part 2: The "AI Active" Status – Maintaining Your Connection to the Global Brain
On your dashboard, you will see an "AI Active" indicator. This is arguably the single most important status light on your entire screen. Think of it as the heartbeat monitor of your connection to the MEFAI intelligence engine.
If the light is green ("AI Active"): You have a live, stable, real-time socket connection to our servers. You are receiving data as it happens.
If the light is red ("Inactive"): Your connection has been severed. You are looking at a dead screen with stale, outdated information. You are flying blind.
It is your absolute duty as an operator to maintain visual confirmation of a green "AI Active" status during your trading sessions. A pilot constantly scans their instruments; this is one of yours.
Why It Goes Inactive: The Built-in Safeguards
The connection does not drop randomly. It becomes inactive for specific, deliberate reasons that are designed to protect you.
Initial Connection Dormancy: For your security, when you first connect to the platform, the AI link is dormant. You must actively engage with the dashboard to initiate the secure, persistent socket connection. This prevents unauthorized or accidental data streams from being opened.
Inactivity Timeout: If your MEFAI page is left idle in the background for a prolonged period, the system will automatically sever the connection. This is a crucial security measure. It prevents a live, authenticated session from being left open on an unattended or public computer. If you see it has timed out, a simple page refresh will re-authenticate your session and re-establish the connection.
Socket Interruption: The internet is not a perfect system. A momentary lapse in your Wi-Fi, a dropped packet from your provider, or other network issues can interrupt the live data socket. The "Inactive" status is your immediate visual warning that your connection to real-time market intelligence has been compromised and you need to refresh to re-establish a secure link.
Part 3: The PWA (Progressive Web App) – Your Optimized Cockpit
To ensure the most stable connection and the most reliable delivery of notifications, we have built the MEFAI platform as a Progressive Web App (PWA). We strongly recommend all users, and especially mobile users, to install it.
What is a PWA?
A PWA is a website that can be "installed" directly onto your device's home screen, giving it the look, feel, and enhanced functionality of a native application without needing to go through an App Store.
The Installation Protocol:
On Desktop (Chrome/Edge): While on the MEFAI website, look for an "install" icon in the URL bar (it often looks like a computer screen with a downward arrow). Clicking this will install the PWA as a standalone application on your computer.
On Mobile (iOS/Android): While on the MEFAI website in your mobile browser, tap the "Share" icon. In the share menu, scroll down and select "Add to Home Screen." This will place the MEFA icon on your phone's home screen, just like any other app.
The Critical iOS Advantage
While the PWA provides a faster, cleaner experience for all users, for iOS users (iPhone and iPad), it is a mission-critical requirement.
Due to the specific way Apple's iOS manages background processes and notifications for web browsers, running the MEFAI platform in a standard Safari tab can lead to delayed or missed alerts.
Installing the PWA on your iOS device is the only way to ensure the reliable, instantaneous, and persistent delivery of trade signal alerts. Operating on an iOS browser without the PWA is a direct violation of professional operational protocol and will result in missed opportunities. This is not a suggestion; it is a technical necessity for Apple users.
